Effects on the body
The diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer change the bodies of the patients entirely, including how they feel about the newly attained complexion. The most significant change is the scar on the affected breasts (Katz, 2020). This transformation institutes an emotional sensation on how the patients feel about themselves due to the negative change that occurs on their bodies. Other effects include; pain, sexual impacts, weight gain, or loss depending on the body of the victim and hair loss and thinning (Katz, 2020). The patients may also develop fatigue, preventing them from their everyday active lives they used to experience before infection by the chronic disease (Katz, 2020). In some cases, the condition results in early menopause loss of confidence in the affected individuals. Hence, people living with breast cancer could lack the ultimate control of their bodies.
General education
Although health care officials should take care and ensure proper management of breast cancers patient’s health conditions, they should not indulge in routine tests and imaging on any asymptomatic patients. The action may cause tension resulting in other chronic conditions like heart disease. However, they should counsel patients on the significance of maintaining healthy lifestyles, monitor post-treatment symptoms, and compliance with endocrine therapy (Runowicz et al. 2015). This knowledge helps the patients in accessing what can affect quality life. According to Runowicz et al. (2015), primary care clinicians should research on the best recommendations for the surveillance and testing of breast cancer recurrence to ensure the stabilizing of the condition. This step would enhance the management of physical and health long effects of breast cancer and the most desirable treatment procedures.
Home management education
People living with breast cancer patients should learn how to help the victims deal with the situation and also reduce any chances of severity. In this case, the health of the patients does not only depend on medical clinicians but also other people such as relatives and friends.
