One of the health problems affecting the population today most frequently may be obesity. Results from the 2017–2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey made by NHANES indicate that nearly one in three people (30.7%) and more than two in five adults (42.4%) are overweight or obese (National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidneys Disease, n.d.). This has gotten worse as fast food chains have taken over everyone's everyday diet in the nation. Because this issue affects the entire country and not just one particular neighborhood, doctors should be the ones to promote healthy eating habits. The best solution for this problem is better information dissemination and adequately teaching the right strategies. Because information is such a valuable key that can change someone’s view of something in medical terms, the influence of information defines the patient’s perception. Improving the funds given to teaching ordinary people about the health risk involved in being obese will increase the chances of a community to live much healthier. The effort of ordinary citizens is not enough. That is why legislation is a must so that the said program will be done nationwide and with sufficient funds directly from the government CITATION Tar20 \l 1033 (Targher, 2020).
