Healthcare actors and more specifically nurses are faced with different situations and challenges. Lobbying and advocacy, therefore, become important issues in addressing healthcare outcomes. Advocacy, in this case, helps to enact changes that improve healthcare outcomes. Involving all stakeholders including the patients and their loved ones helps in enhancing care in the larger system. A good example of how this is done can be borrowed from Phoenix, Arizona where nurses and other healthcare professionals are actively pushing the government to improve their working environment by involving legislators. Much of the advocacy, in this case, relates to immigration where involved persons are thought to benefit more as compared with the locals. Through advocacy, the nurse association has been pushing the government to improve healthcare assistance for locals as compared with immigrants. While such proposals are warranted within the stipulated rights of citizens, it is important also to note that human rights also advocate for equality in health care provision. Other states have been liaising with nurse organizations to help improve care by encouraging stakeholders in the healthcare system to hire more nurses and present incentives for retirees to continue offering their services (Staebler, et al. 2017). This move is essentially aimed at addressing the shortage of staff problem in public and private hospitals across the state. This is in line with the current challenge of staff shortage currently facing the state and the country as a whole. Embracing the power of legislation has enabled states to improve collaboration between different stakeholders and enhance care outcomes.

The idea for Addressing Solution
In no more than 250 words, outline your idea for addressing the issue and explain why legislation is the best course for advocacy.

Involving all stakeholders in the healthcare system is one of the most effective strategies for addressing the problem of staff shortage in the state and beyond. The nature of advocacy, in this case, offers a strong solution to solving current problems in the health care system. Over the last few decades, different states have introduced powerful policies to address the issue of staff shortage as well as abuse of drugs. This has been enabled by the support of legislators and other stakeholders who have continually been pushing for changes in the healthcare system. Embracing the power of the legislature has been an effective way of addressing the problem of staff shortage in the state. Advocacy through the legislature helps to create awareness and educating stakeholders of the importance of employing more resources in the healthcare system (Staebler, et al. 2017). It is...
