The concurrent education method of teaching is an approach gives that allows teachers to complete their undergraduate degree and education degree at the same time. The teachers take educational and pedagogical studies are taken while studying for other subjects. The learning experience is more integrated under the concurrent approach, but teachers may be less knowledgeable in their chosen disciplines.
The consecutive teacher training method allows teachers to complete the first degree in a discipline, and then the prospective teachers go for training. Educational and pedagogical studies are taken after first studying in a specific discipline. In this approach, there is thorough preparation in a subject matter. While there is flexibility when entering teacher preparation programs, the learning experience is less integrated when considering the discipline and pedagogy. 
2. What do you think are some of the features of the best systems for teacher preparation?
The best systems for teacher preparation single out academically skilled and committed candidates, where there is also rigorous preparation of the teacher (Driskell, n.d.). Such programs focus on attracting and retaining the best. Evaluating teachers for their suitability in the programs before and during is beneficial to attract the most committed teachers.
3. What features do you believe could China and or the US best adapt for their use?
The Chinese system emphasizes rigorous teacher preparation, those with deep knowledge for their teaching subjects, choosing teachers who are highly committed and passionate about teaching. Thus, the US promotes more rigorous interviews to select deeply committed and proficient teachers in their preferred subjects with extensive education.
American teaching programs emphasize teaching methods and general educational principles than the Chinese teacher preparation programs. The US system is also broad, and there are various paths for teachers to enter the profession. American teaching programs emphasize inquiry-based learning, supporting students to be active learners, and promoting active learning activities.

Teacher preparation improves the teachers' technical knowledge and educational skills necessary for competency and high-quality teaching. The teachers have a key role in school success partly depending on the methodologies applied, the resources, motivation, and knowledge of their teaching subjects. Teaching methods that allow teachers to adapt to the workplace as well as collaborative learning improve learning outcomes. Well-prepared teachers with deep knowledge of disciples who are motivated to teaching tend to promote learning.
