The education system is arguably one of the core sectors in the world today. Like any other sector, the education system evolves with time and further developments in other fields like technology and urbanization. Unfortunately, some of these changes often cause problems in the education system. This essay analyzes the texts: "City Schools and the American Dream by Pedro Noguera, "Radical Possibilities" by Jean Anyon, and the "Unforgetting Place in Urban Education Through Creative Participatory Visual Methods" by Eve Tuck and Sefanit Habtom and relates the themes to a global setting. 
Summary of All Readings
The authors Eve Tuck and Sefanit Habtom (2019) first consider the effects of dismissing the importance of location when considering urban education. Their essay also describes a new youth participatory program called MSOM. This project engages Indigenous and Black youth to interact with movements like Black Lives Matter concerning Toronto. In the concluding chapter of the book City Schools and the American Dream, Pedro Noguera (2020) stresses the need to find specific contexts surrounding each problem and consequently develop their solutions. It is also essential that the community directly participates in this process. Noguera acknowledges that the challenge of urban schools is complex, and one solution may not fit all schools in an urban setting. 
In chapter 9 of the book Radical Possibilities, Anyon (2014) explains that despite universities today being regarded as the epicenter of radical thought, they often tame social movements. In addition, universities make social movements in academic disciplines with faculty members working full time doing research, professional duties, or teaching. Anyon (2014) proposes that social reform is necessary and should begin at the school level. Secondly, social reforms should not be implicated with the school. This way, experts in the field would contribute to a greater understanding of how the education system enhances gender, class, and race inequalities.

Eve Tuck and Jean Anyon have had a mentor-mentee relationship before. Therefore, it is only natural that these two authors share the same view regarding urban education. I agree with these arguments and find them valid and reasonable. For status, Tuck and Habtom (2019) ...
