This assignment is comprised of three different parts that will show your learning of various course objectives from Lessons 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Part 1:
To practice lesson planning, create an age appropriate movement activity for early childhood-aged students. Your lesson plan should include learning objectives, objectives for students, objectives for teachers, materials, and a step-by-step guide on how to complete the activity. You will want to refer back to Lesson 7 to see an example of how to format and create your lesson plan and Lesson 5 for ideas and suggestions.
Part 2:
To practice interdisciplinary lesson planning, create an age appropriate activity for early childhood-aged students that integrate music into another core subject (reading, writing, mathematics, science, or social studies). Your lesson plan should include learning objectives, objectives for students, objectives for teachers, materials, and a step-by-step guide on how to complete the activity. You will want to refer back to Lesson 7 to see an example of how to format and create your lesson plan.
Part 3:
To practice interdisciplinary lesson planning, create an age appropriate activity for early childhood-aged students that integrates movement into another core subject, different from the one chosen in Part 2 above, (reading, writing, mathematics, science, or social studies). Part 4:
To practice utilizing assessments, create one assessment or evaluation tool (authentic assessments, formative assessments, product assessments, process assessments), for one of the lesson plans that you created. You will want to refer back to Lesson 8 to see examples of how to utilize assessment tools.

PART ONE
Grade level: Kindergarten.
Time allocated: 40–50 minutes.
Learning objective: To teach pupils how to identify verbs and apply them appropriately in statements.
Students’ objectives: Be able to recognize and act out action words contained in literature and utilize them appropriately in sentences.
Teachers’ objectives: Students will be observed identifying and accurately acting out action words (verbs) and appropriately using them in statements.
Materials used: Verb cards are used as materials.
Methodology of completing the activity:
Stage 1: The instructor will begin the class by talking about actions. The following are some of the topics discussed: How do you brush your teeth? What do you do with pens and pencils when you’re not using them? What do you do when you wake up in the morning? When you’re upset or joyful, what do you do? So, what exactly am I doing at the moment? The instructor will tell the students those verbs are the phrases that indicate activities. The teacher will introduce to the kids what a verb means. Since the meaning of a verb is simply “something you can perform,” using verbs to make compelling classes whereby learners can perform is exceptionally straightforward.
Stage 2: A pupil will be invited to the front of the classroom and assigned verbs to illustrate, such as hop and then shout. The pupils will have to make educated guesses about what activity is being performed.
Stage 3: The pupils will next participate in a game of Charades in which they will act out the actions of verbs that have been presented to them. The other kids will make educated guesses about the movement. Learners must compose a phrase that uses the verb once they have accurately identified each activity. For instance, Bob is whistling.
Pupils will compile a set of the verbs they studied throughout the class. The instructor will call out various verbs, and pupils will be expected to show the activity that corresponds to each word. The learners will complete a workbook in which they will color the drawings that depict action in progress.
PART TWO
(Integrating music and movement into reading)
Grade level: Kindergarten.
Allocated time: 50 minutes will be allotted for this task.
Learning objectives: Recognize and name the significant exterior human body structures by utilizing visual cues.
Students’ objectives: The primary exterior components of the human body must be identified and named.
Teachers’ Objectives: As the pupils recognize and describe the major exterior human organs, the instructor will keep an eye on them.
Materials used: Word boards with the descriptions of exterior body parts (head, shoulder, elbows, ankles, hands, ears, legs, tongue, lips, navel, etc.), a music player, and a human body diagram.
Procedure:
Stage 1: The instructor will ask the pupils to consider their bodies and list the parts that can be seen from the exterior.
