A successful leader or administrator must have in-depth knowledge of the theories and models that govern leaders. The kind of leadership applied in an organization depends on culture, new laws working environment, and organizational complexities. The ability to apply leadership theories depends on an individual's confidence, sensitivity, and expertise. The mastery of leadership theories and the brilliance to use them in real life makes a great leader for an organization.
First, the administrative and organizational theory will help in making an effective leader. This theory calls for a dignified division of labor, organizational structure, and delegation of authority to the administrators according to their task areas (Zhang, 2017). The formalized administrative structure will help to design the organization with clear lines of power. Secondly, the leadership contingency model improves leadership quality by increasing productivity. This theory suggests that a person should be able to observe each situation and decide on the success of the management. This model is necessary for administrators as it improves their skills and knowledge.
Transformational and transactional leadership help administrators to motivate and inspire their workers by rewarding them once they attain organizational goals. It also helps the leaders in achieving their goals as individuals. In addition, motivation theory will help in understanding reasons why a person works towards a specific purpose. The study revealed that a motivated worker is more productive and profitable with the right motivation (Purwanto et al., 2020). Corporate power will help a leader manage and control leverage for the advantage of association and promote evidence in decision making.
