They claim that behavior charts not only are they ineffective in changing children’s behavior for the better but they also have detrimental effects on the children. The authors make their case by detailing the reasons why behavior charts are ineffective and suggest their alternative methods that are more effective and not punitive and detrimental like the behavior chart.
