I seek to contribute towards improving the health conditions of diverse population groups particularly in the southwest of the US. The University Of Arizona Zuckerman College Of Public Health emphasizes the importance of public health and wellness to improve the quality of life. Implementation of multidisciplinary and relevant professional training programs in public health has been crucial to supporting public health initiatives. This is consistent with my belief that opportunities to achieve good health improves the well-being of individuals and communities and saves lives.
If accepted into the program, this will make it easier for me to combine theoretical, practical and research aspects, and apply this in different health settings. I will advance knowledge to communities where possible allowing me to be an advocate of patients while also supporting better health policies and programs. To achieve this, I will collaborate with fellow students, instructors and even contact health practitioners. I have been directly involved in research and hope to learn more about research practice and apply this I real life to improve health outcomes.
