I had always known someone could lack focus on activities that prepare them for a brighter future. However, I hardly ever imagined or even conceived it would happen to me until my whole world shifted after changing my cycle of friends. Things were happening too fast, but I had a perceived comfort. I remember a few of my childhood allies simply ending our friendship as others reserved their comments on the peer pressure, the new norm I had customized. How would I have known I was drowning, in what seemed so comfortable, had you not been so bold with me? No word can ever describe it clearly.
I still vividly remember I was already starting to give up on school before you came and gave me a clear insight into what my priorities should be in life. The previously easier courses had become challenging, and I only remained with two options; dropping out or continuing while scoring low grades. My deviation from class concentration started as a mere skip of a lesson and failure to submit few weekly assignments when I thought all I needed was to have fun.
