The staffing process in any given organization is never easy for the recruiters. The staffs they hire are expected to be of high quality and value to the organization and nothing less. But sometimes the ones hired are considered bad or regretted decision. Every organization has to put in place a system of staffing that will ensure that the ones hired are beneficial to them. (Henemann , Judge & John, 2014) This paper is going to look at the staffing process and how it relates to volume recruiting and also how a skilled workforce can be a cash multiplier.
The first step in staffing is the identification of the needed manpower, qualifications and the number of candidates. Then after that, recruitment process begins. Here, soliciting of applications according to the invitations made to desirable candidates is done. Then the selection process, where screening of applications and appointment of suitable candidates according to their qualification, is done. After selection of candidates, training, remuneration and performance evaluation are done (Arthur, 2012). A volume staffing process objective is developing a pipeline of qualified candidates in anticipation of client needs. Therefore, a hiring process is the core to volume staffing because it leads to quality candidates that are needed are hired. That process also eliminates the employee turnover issue.
A skilled workforce will always benefit any given organization since it will guarantee top quality production. Skilled employees are often flexible and can easily acquire skills for a lateral job. This can ensure productivity even if an employee of a certain department is unavailable since he or she will be covered and the job will be done. Therefore, organizations with a skilled workforce can make more money because whenever quality is high, the company is assured of customer retaining and this means sales are assured too.
