1. Google ‘social entrepreneurship’ and ‘social enterprises’.     Google ‘social enterprises and poverty’ or ‘social enterprises and water’ or ‘social enterprises and homelessness’. Research social enterprises and an area in which you are interested. Read at least ten sites/sources.


2. Next, write a short report specifying the social problem (such as homelessness, hunger, poverty, disease, income inequality) that you would like to solve, as well as a proposed tentative action(s) you think might help to solve it. 3. Write no more than one page, single-spaced, formatted for readability. Use headings, bullets, and short paragraphs to your reader/audience, the Hearn Foundation.


The Hearn Foundation awards worthy projects with first year funds of $2000 to $25,000. Funded projects can apply for continued funding for one additional year only.


4. Make sure to write content that you believe the reader, The Hearn Foundation, would want to know. This proposal will be your first step in acquiring funding for your enterprise/project.

Abstract
Hunger is a global problem which remains prevalent up to this day. Approximately 10.7% out of the 7.6 billion people around the world are experiencing chronic undernourishment and majority come from lower-middle-income countries. From these countries, Africa and Asian countries are more affected by this global problem.
The common problems regarding the causes of hunger and malnutrition include poverty, job instability and food shortages and agricultural supply. All of these have are correlated with each other and these all link to having hunger as an endpoint.
The Sustainable Development Goals tend to attain improvement on reduction of hunger by the year 2030. To achieve this goal, solutions regarding must be generated and concretely fulfilled to allow immediate results in the reduction of global hunger as much as possible.
Introduction
Worldwide, hunger is considered one of the major problems faced by many countries. It still remains prevalent despite the significant drop of the number of hungry people over the past two decades. Malnutrition/Undernutriton is the end result of hunger that’s why both can be correlated with each other CITATION Goa20 \l 1033 (United Nations Development Programme, n.d.).
According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the estimated number of people suffering from chronic undernourishment in 2016 is about 815 million people (10.7 %) out of the 7.6 billion people in the world. A huge number of these estimated people come from those who live in lower-middle-income countries. Calculation of the Global Hunger Index scores with a time range of 1992, 2000, 2008, 2016, 2017 and 2018 was done and a score of greater than or equal to 50 was obtained which is defined as extremely alarming. Undernourishment is highly prevalent in Africa but the highest number of undernourished people are found in Asian countries.
