Building a good relationship with global members plays a substantial role in enhancing the chances of the business being a success. Such a relationship is best built by learning the cultural believes of the various business partners to ensure that the business strategies do not contradict with their ways of doing business. Therefore, collectivism, individualism, cultural differences, and non-verbal behavior differences are some of the aspects that need to be studied in China and Mexico.
Collectivism is a value that advocates for the members of a group to prioritize the group's needs over individual goals. In cultures that embrace collectivism, the identity of the group members is created by the interconnectedness between the team members. China has a score of 2 in terms of practicing the collectivist culture. The ingroup considerations play a role in determining the recruitment process whereby ingroup members get preferential treatment. As well, the rate of employee commitment to an organization is low since personal relationships matter more than the company interests. It is considered to be the country's secret of strength. In addition, Mexico has a score of 30 in terms of embracing the collectivist culture (Cervantes, Lemus & Montalvo, 2017). The recruitment process and management are highly depended on the members of a group. Loyalty in such groups overrides most of the societal regulations. Therefore, both nations do not have the individualism culture.
