In the article, Smit (2020) drew a commentary on project management solutions on the PMBOK guide. Specifically, the authors analyzed the mapping of project management process grouping as described in the guide. Most importantly, the author commented that some of the Project Management Knowledge Area (PMKA) miss some of the project management processes. In response, the author placed suggestions for including project management realization, project knowledge, project documentation, project issues, and project organizational change in the PMBOK guide. The author also claims that creators did not map some of the Project Management Process Group (PMPG) accurately. The author used the project lifecycle perspective to justify the claims.
