There are special considerations for an Information Technology (IT) driven project team member. Collaborative, solution-oriented, and of course technical capabilities are the priorities for an IT team member besides the general soft skills required on any team member. The transformation project derailed in Sweden primarily because of the local arrangement between Mr. Lucas and Mr. Johan. Immediately after identifying Johan’s insufficiency, Dr. Banerjee should have arranged a crisis meeting between the three of them to deliberate on the way forward and pinpoint his shortfalls. More offensively, Dr. Banerjee should have insisted on a full-time employee or Lucas himself to manage the project.
