The action by Wilson Mutambara was morally right. He had the urge to see his nieces and nephews at similar or better career positions. Since his relatives could not sustain the kids in school, Mutambara did the right thing by sacrificing a luxurious life to see them achieve an education. Looking into his schooling life reveals that he went through similar experiences, and he needed help to complete his education level and the career offering his current job (Shaw, 2017). Supposing that Mutambara did not get the scholarship, he would not be working for the company. Having faced the hardship of living in a slum and almost lacking education due to insufficient resources might have given him the intrusion to help others. What would he benefit from living a luxurious life and associating with illiterate relatives? Mutambara had a distinct reason for educating his relatives' kids and living in a house less than $300 while he should use the housing allowance to rent a $2000 place (Shaw, 2017). Although the idea acted against the requirements of NewCom Company in the provision of high-quality life for their employees, I would have done the same if in the position of Mutambara. I would instead share the accommodation with relatives and fulfil the urge of seeing their kids educated instead of leaving alone in a luxurious house and associating with illiterate relatives.
Dale Garman's action of confirming the information he had received about Mutambaras' living conditions was right. His intentions might have been pure in identifying the truth to find out the reason. Having concerns about the welfare of colleagues at work is not a bad idea. Garman might have thought about many things before confronting the issue. Why would Mutambara live in the condition? Could people be mean to themselves? The urge and desire to confirm the report might have had no intention to harm Mutambara, and Garman did the right thing at that circumstance. However, he deviated from moral obligations by reporting the issues (Fernando, 2016). He might have acted driven by conflict of interest to get attention from the supervisor but his action was wrong against Mutambara. Besides, the victim offered possible reasons that Garman could have absorbed and seen sense in action. Choosing to report the matter was wrong since he knew that the company might take severe action against Mutambara for not living in the desired and anticipated standard. Yet, he had a desirable house allowance of $2000 among the benefits offered by the company to workers (Shaw, 2017). Although the employee had the obligation of living by the company's standards, his reason was genuine, and the colleague should have done better than reporting the issue...
