Caterpillar Inc is a multinational firm that provides a vast collection of services. Some of its short-term goals include lowering green gas emissions in their equipment by 50%. In this case, the company is building high-performance products that help decrease GHG intensity (Greenhouse emissions). Reduce waste in the production process, which enhances productivity and profit maximization. Additionally, the company is also committed to using renewable energy, which would serve at least 20% of its needs. Moreover, caterpillar Inc has several long-term goals, firstly, leverage technology to enhance creativity and innovation. Through this process, the company aims to improve the products' sustainability, which creates a competitive edge. Secondly, improve safety measures by building safe products and creating a safe environment for the workers (Dausch & Hsu, 2005).

The Marble Robot, Inc was acquired in 2020 and will be used to enhance Caterpillar's autonomy strategy on innovation. This particular acquisition has revolutionized the performance of the company by more than 15% as of 2021. Furthermore, it is helping the company realize some of its short-term goals, such as reducing waste in production. It has impacted the company's organizational goals by actualizing some of the short-term goals.
