A Barista is expected to act with integrity, knowledge and honesty that promote the values, culture and mission of Starbucks. Should, maintain a calm behavior during periods of unusual events to keep store operating to standards, and to present a positive example for the shift team. Should, anticipate customer and store demands by constantly evaluating customers and environment for cues. A Barista should be capable of communicating information to the manager, so that the team can respond as required to create the third place setting during each shift. Should, have the ability to assist with new partners training by positively bolstering successful performance and encouraging coaching as required (Michelli, 2006). A Barista should have the ability to contribute to positive team environment by recognizing changes or alarms in partner’s performance or morale and communicating them to the store manager. Should, also deliver excellent customer service to all customers by working with a customer first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs. Should, always follow Starbucks operational procedures and policies, including those for cash handling, security and safety, to assure the safety of all partners during each shift (Hitt, 2008). A Barista should maintain an organized and clean workplace so that partners can locate product and resources as required. Should, also maintain consistent and regular attendance and punctuality.
