Since health is one of the most important aspects of an individual's life, the healthcare industry is one of the critical industries in India. However, similar to most industries, this industry suffers from employee engagement. For example, there has been less infrastructure causing less engagement among the employees. This is a major problem since many individuals require these services (Onyema et al., 2020). The following problems have made some professionals seek jobs in other regions, such as urban areas or other countries. This problem has caused a shortage of healthcare professionals in most rural areas.
Furthermore, there have been other problems that have worsened this condition. For example, technological development still poses a problem for this industry since professionals have struggled to reconcile various innovative solutions using Artificial intelligence and other software applications (Albahri et al., 2023). There have been other instances where professionals have complained of burnout, limiting their motivation to work for long. In improving healthcare, it is crucial to check for measures to address these challenges.
One way that can help to solve this problem is through emphasizing employee engagement. One of the reasons that has made the organization to have some problems is there has been a lack of employee participation. Employees engaged in decision-making will give ideas that could help the organization. Similarly, they will feel recognized in the change process (Shellard et al., 2022). This method could help reduce employee resistance since they feel their views were considered in the change. Furthermore, the employees would be motivated to work hard to align to ESG principles which help to attain outstanding goals in the organization, helping to attain organizational and societal improvement.
