Michelangelo’s accuracy of sculpturing and painting the male nude is unmatched to this day. Unlike other renaissance painter, he had a way to accurately display figurative expressiveness in his paintings (Freedberg, 1985). The Creation of Adam on the ceiling of the Sistine chapel is an unmatched to this day. No painter who followed Michelangelo was able to duplicate his paintwork. Michelangelo’s ability to express a variety of differing emotions in his paintings set him apart from other painters of his time.
