Let's consider the effect of taking up the melodic range of the chorus on a specific song in the following exercise.
Once again we're going to be listening to preproduction work tapes from Ali Rapetti, so calibrate your producer's ears to focus on the melody and not the recording or the performance.
Get into focused listening mode (quiet your mind, let go of prejudice, take a deep breath), then consider these two examples of possible melodies for this song's chorus:
