The budget is being used by ABC to plan for next year. Your supervisor tells you right before the meeting, "We always overestimate because the president always makes us cut the budget by 20%, and besides, I really want to go to that conference in Las Vegas next year.” He continued,” I have really worked hard this year and put in a lot of overtime so I deserve it."

Without a budget, companies would not be able to plan for the available resources, resulting in mismanagement of funds. Therefore, every organization needs to focus on having a well-planned and reliable budget. This paper will outline how poorly ABC uses a budget to plan for the next year's expenses, cut the budget regarding leadership and control, and the ethical issues for inflating a budget.
ABC manufacturing is not effectively using the budget process to plan the expenses of the following year. A budget is supposed to reflect the exact amount of expenses to be incurred by a company. If the president does not cut the budget, the company will operate at a very high expense, which could negatively affect its profitability.
