A.MNEs.
* Is your country the home of any major MNEs?
[South Korea is home to several MNEs, the largest being Samsung Electronics. Other key MNEs headquartered in the country include Hyundai Motor Group, Kia Motors, POSCO, LG, Hyosung Group, and Lotte Corporation.]
* Does your country host any major MNEs?
[South Korea also hosts some of the major MNEs in the world. These include GM, ASML Holding, eBay, Ikea, Google, Subway, Tokyo Electron, and Pfizer. All these MNEs and many others are hosted in the country.]
B.Foreign direct investment (FDI) and taxation.
* Does your country restrict foreign direct investment?  If so, how does it do so?

Samsung also has manufacturing plants in Vietnam and Austin, US. As a destination, major firms such as GM, Pfizer, Tokyo Electron, and Ikea are examples of foreign companies with FDIs in South Korea.]

While at the moment the country is not tax heaven, it has in the past been designated as a tax haven. In 2017, the country was blacklisted as a tax haven by the EU. The union claimed that the exemption of corporate tax for foreign MNEs was against the principle of fair taxation. However, the country was excluded from the list in 2019 after it improved transparency in foreign investment practices. The country had to revise its tax laws and as a result, it removed the tax exemption practice.]
