* Competition within the group. Chapter 5 argues that there is competition within the group during the forming and storming process rather than a group focusing on achieving a common goal.

* Need for inclusion- though people desire to be part of a group, not all groups promote good feelings and understanding. Some of the members are also passive such that they do not contribute to the growth of the group.
