Answer to Question 1
Attorneys are basically Principal Officers, since they are subjects to the president. From the United States constitution, article II, attorneys can only be removed from office by the president, through a presidential order or directive (Beermann, 2010). They also stay in office for four years. This is enough time not to confuse an attorney with any temporary office holder. These are four permanent years. The attorney is a Principal Officer since he or she isn’t restricted to a specific or certain number of assignments. They can take part in numerous cases, and have the mandate to even represent the country in legal matters. The president can appoint an attorney with approval from senate (Funk & Seamon,).
