American Colonial History
The nation’s colonial history is quite vast, with various discourses revolving around the same. The statement to support or agree with is that by D. G. Hart. The latter infers that being led by faith, Christian historians can define what God wants or intended on account of past histories- using research and teachings. Hart further points out that based on theology, it is impossible to discern God's work through studies but to trust his control of human history. To support Hart's point of view, there are two perspectives of history- the secular and God's lens. First, secular perceive the historical notion that a man is in control, but the Godly viewpoint emulated by Christian historians considers God's authority in men's lives. Christian historians conveying human events like other scholars seem to hold less value.
Christian historians understand God's control by discerning his providence in historical events. For example, Hart's statement about divine will in history can apply to the American history of revolution. The latter was a period of political and military struggle in the 17th century.
