One of the aspects I like about Starbucks code of business ethics is its emphasis on the customer needs. Most of the policies listed in the company code of business ethics put more focus on customer needs than any other person. They value their customers so much that they ensure that any activities by their employees are directed towards customer satisfaction.
Secondly, the code of ethics for Starbucks pays attention to the issues of the suppliers of their raw materials. Starbucks ensures that all its supplies for coffee are from suppliers who meet certain conditions. Most of the supplies come from third-world countries where farmers are exploited. To ensure that Starbucks is not involved in this illegal and ill business, the company has made it compulsory for all the supplies to sign a code of ethics that restrict them from exploiting the farmers. It also ensures that all coffee is produced in an environmental friendly condition.
