1. Consider this question: In our culture, we can find lies and deception everywhere. Choose a place where we come across them (grocery store, Instagram, billboard, news media...). Where do the lies come from and why do we so willingly accept them?
2. But don't do this in your head. Use research and inquiry to FIND something interesting and specific. Start plugging in terms and do some research. Use the research to develop the topic, and isolate three to five sources that connect and give you a good starting point for development.
3. Create a Trial Thesis with Supported Bys (Slant 2) using that research and your topic idea, and include your researched sources on that page with short annotations.
Please also briefly explain your proposed topic/idea in connection to Ariely, for few sentences (with specific quotes/connections to Ariely's The Honest Truth pg 1-116).

1 From the beginning of the speech, human beings have always lied, which is nothing new, but it is like truth is hard to come by when it comes to Instagram.
* Individuals lie by showcasing a more powerful persona than how they live to influence others and capture attention from their viewers. According to Ariely, "Once we are painted as cheaters in our own eyes, we start behaving in more dishonest ways."
* Other people live a life that is not their own because they have insecurities that they want to hide from the general public or to keep up with those who manipulate them with fake lives.
