Kathakali dance is a typical genre that originated from South Asia. The performance is related in various ways to the Sanskrit drama. Traditionally, Kathakali performance was conducted either in Kerala's court or in the Hindu temple ceremonies. The arrangement would begin at dusk and go throughout the night for the drama to be completed.\
Therefore, training commenced at the age of seven; however, the routine starts at ten to sixteen. The students would undergo demanding training starting from the early morning. These training are designed to balance, control, and make their bodies more flexible. The complete formal training takes a minimum of six years. By the end of the training, the student is introduced to the roles and staging. However, practice and experience are needed to master the drama and be a perfect actor.
