Coursework Instructions:

Issues and Opportunities Report
Recall from the syllabus, that your parkscape video story should describe:
The ecological basis for conservation in the parkscape (e.g., ecosystem service);
The social issues (e.g., justice, land ownership) surrounding parkscape management and how they have changed over time;
2 key drivers of ecological change in the contemporary parkscape (e.g., climate change, land use, invasive species);
2 opportunities for sustainability in parkscape management (realized or envisioned).
In this report, you will describe the research you have done in each of these areas. In a 1-page report, single-spaced, Times New Roman, 12 point font, 1 inch margins), you will describe these four elements to the extent you and your group have researched them. The Monti Sibillini National Park
The Monti Sibillini National Park is a national park located in the regions of Marche and Umbria in Italy. The park was established in 1993, and it occupies a landmass of about 70,000 hectares (Giacopetti, Marco, et al. 20). One of the conservative values of the park is the protection and valorization of the natural heritage and enhancing territorial and environmental integrity. The park enhances the implementation of sustainable development by the preservation of traditional economic activities such as farming. It is also essential in the provision of research and educational services (Allegrezza 60). The main threat that faces the park is an invasion of farmers who engage in domestic agricultural activities. It also faces threats from poaching activities resulting in the injuring and death of wild animals
The park is characterized by several social issues, with the main one being a conflict between local farmers and environmental universalism (Piermattei, 60). Most of the farmers have failed to adhere to policies that protect the environment, thus harming the park and affecting wildlife and tourism. Some of the local farmers are adamant that wild animals like wolves in the park are a threat to their livestock (...
