The sources the author will use in this research are in three categories: historical information about space missions during the 1960s, including history books and articles by NASA and the DoD. The second category will involve leadership experts' opinions, whereas the third category will include scholarly articles on STEM education, especially during the1960s.[Evans, J. T. “Space Exploration: Inspiring American Technological Dominance,” (2013).]
The strength of the sources is the use of historical records during the 1960s, especially NASA and the DOD-produced articles and journals. These sources will provide an accurate picture of the technological advancements during the era. On the other hand, opinions from leadership experts will provide the current state and where they require innovations for future improvements. The primary weakness of the sources is that some historical records may not be available, and one needs authorization to access some records in NASA and the DOD.
