Genetic Mutation
Define a genetic mutation irreversible changes in the DNA sequence of gene components, making the sequence differ with th structure found in many people. There are different sizes and tyles of gene mutations. Most of the mutations can either affect a single place within the DNA or an extensive segment that include diverse genes. The main types of gene mutation include hereditary mutation and acquired mutations. Hereditary mutations are usually inherited from parents and their effects or presence is throughout the life of the person. On the other hand, acquired mutations occur during someone lifetime and are present during the life of an individual. The effect is usually experienced in a single cell or component of the gene.
There are mutations that produce negative effect while other while others are associated with certain benefits.
