Many psychologists and professionals have long called adolescence "storm and stress". However, new research suggests otherwise. J.J. Arnett argues childhood is a period of struggle is a cultural myth, not science. Researchers have discovered no evidence of a "adolescent crisis" that all youths experience, although some do experience a lot of stress. Instead, research suggests that adolescence is unique to each individual and that some kids may be stable and joyful.
2)Some kids suffer severe stress throughout puberty, but there is no common "adolescent crisis" according to research. Some people enjoy stability and satisfaction throughout adolescence.
3)Despite cross-cultural research on teens' experiences, Arnett's study on teenage development found no universal adolescent crises. The research reveals that adolescence is formed by cultural, social, and personal factors rather than a "storm and stress" for all teenagers. This conclusion comes from adolescent growth studies.
