Question One
* Criteria Franklin Equipment, Ltd. (FEL) uses to assign managers to project teams.
Before allocating managers to project teams, Franklin Equipment Ltd always looks for their competence and knowledge. Franklin Equipment limited also considers the manager's availability to work on a specific project and whether or not they have any prior commitments. As a result, efficient resource utilization occurs when the project manager makes use of available time. We can conclude from the case study that using available time will help the project run successfully and on schedule. This will ensure that the project does not fail. The firm is involved in several international initiatives. People must work in different time zones, which necessitates working longer hours and, as a result, causing conflicts with domestic events. The assignment of directors to project teams founded on their backgrounds is critical to Abu Ahabi's project success. Managers are also appointed according to their experience and availability. As a result, managers who have a lot of project obligations are usually handed new initiatives. Each member who has been allocated a deliverable has a record of their effectiveness kept by the company. However, after interviewing fellow managers about the project's status and plans in person, Charles Gatenby discovered that the design manager and operational manager could not interact; both managers recognized their challenges working collectively on a similar project.
* Why is it even more critical that project team members work well together on international projects such as Project Abu Dhabi?
On international projects like the Abu Dhabi project, it's even more critical that project team associates work well composed. The main goal is to establish a collaborative culture that will last long after the project is completed. Because only a few team members understand all cultural subtleties, coordination, and communication between team members are critical in foreign assignments. Without collaboration, teams do not function well! Franklin Equipment Limited's success is dependent on teamwork. When project team members collaborate, they can solve problems and bring new ideas to the surface and assist one another when faced w...
