Translanguaging can be difficult to convey to students when explaining their meaning in a foreign language since the other language does not have a precise equivalent. However, there are methods to connect terms with similar meanings to describe better what the specific word means in the other language being studied. In Gladys' video, she asked her kids what the meaning of "Buen provecho" in English. This elicited a response from the youngsters, prompting them to wonder how it might translate to another language. Gladys employs the power of curiosity to interest her students in the topic at hand; this is good since youngsters are more likely to grasp things when they are invested in them or prompted to ask questions about them. This active focus on honing a person’s multilinguistic mind helped in improving her grasp of the language, which is one of the key points in translanguaging.
I observe that Glady's other method is that she encourages the students to work in groups to discuss what the other students believe about why they use a specific phrase in the book they were given; in other words, the teacher allows them to "brainstorm." This is an excellent method for igniting students' curiosity and allowing them to understand each other's points of view. This allows them to see the other groups' ideas and, in the end, present them to the entire class.
