Attention-Grabbing
Using a timer: The timer will offer the structure for each task and draw kids' attention since they will know when the time is up. The time also avoids the confusion of trying to grab their attention.
Standing in the center of the room: Being close to students guarantees that they are constantly paying attention. Furthermore, attempt to ensure that the spotlight is on you.
Sentence games. Getting involved in games gets the students' attention. Students will be randomly selected to construct a sentence using an adjective provided by a randomly selected student.
Sesquipedalian words: Giving random sesquipedalian words to students, such as antidisestablishmentarianism
