Central Idea/Action: AI is the fourth industrial revolution that is already changing our world by transforming virtually every industry and how we live: the areas of AI use are as numerous as they are broad including transport, healthcare, advertising, manufacturing, public relations, education, and etcetera.

The proliferation of AI in today’s world has drawn different reactions from people and I expect that some of the audience will have not yet formed a position on the topic, or are already informed and favorable to the issue, or are somewhat unreceptive of my topic.

1 What will you do to appeal to this specific audience? I will use the three persuasion techniques of logos, pathos, and ethos. AI is the fourth industrial revolution that is already changing our world by transforming virtually every industry and how we live: the areas of AI use are as numerous as they are broad including transport, healthcare, advertising, manufacturing, public relations, education, and etcetera. However, there are downsides to AI including widespread job losses as technology assumes jobs previously performed by humans. Increased unemployment is likely to result in falling incomes and marked wealth inequality as the incomes of people, especially those in blue collar jobs falls. Still, AI is the next best thing after the invention of electricity because it promises to improve how we perform tasks, how we communicate with one another, and also how we understand our environment and ourselves.

* AI technologies are not bounded by human limitations and can work without stopping and with little downtime.
