They had all hatched but one. When the last egg hatched, the chick was not the same as the others. He was made fun of and kicked out of the games the others would play. Eventually, the mother would have to give him away. The ugly duckling was not well-liked in the town; he was different. He did not look like all the other chicks. The ugly duckling was very kind to others. He was always helping them with their problems. Months passed and the duckling grew. While looking at his reflection in the pond he noticed another duck that looked just like him. He swam up to him and asked him what kind of a duck he was. The other duck replied, I am a Swan, I am one of the most beautiful creatures on the lake.The moral of the story: It does not matter how beautiful you are on the outside; it is who you are on the inside. The ugly duckling swam past his old family. He showed off his beauty as he passed.
