Courts play an important role in health services organizations (local, state, and federal), including enhancing the respect, protection, and the fulfilment of the human right to health. Courts can compel binding as well as enforceability duties to ensure human rights are guaranteed, promoted, and protected. Different human rights instruments and laws recognize the delineation and guarantees of the right to health. In this vein, courts give appropriate justification to the right to medical care as they are tasked with sustaining, securing, fulfilling, and protecting, as well as offering remedies when reported breaches of the right to health care (Nampewo et al., 2022). Federal, state, and local health service leaders integrate efforts to address community health issues. In this context, state, federal, and local courts are essential partners in developing and implementing successful policy measures to address public health issues (The National Judicial Opioid Task Force, 2019).
