This paper discusses the purpose, vision, goals, expectations, and impacts of mobile health apps in care delivery at the diabetes department in the community health center.
Purpose
The diabetes department at the facility uses traditional methods of collecting, storing, and monitoring patients’ health data. However, relevant stakeholders, including mobile health application manufacturers, health workers, clinical facilities, patients, and sponsors, should collaborate to design and implement appropriate mobile health apps that meet users’ needs, enhance health outcomes, and satisfy the healthcare center’s care delivery goals.
The purpose of implementing mobile health apps at the healthcare facility’s diabetes department is to ensure and collect comprehensive patients’ healthcare details, monitor patients’ health and information, make clinical decisions and diagnoses, and help prevent and manage complications (Jembai et al., 2022).
