Understanding the existing best practices for creating a culture of quality and safety within the healthcare system constitutes an ethical and social concern for healthcare managers. In response to deteriorated quality and patient treatment outcomes, healthcare providers should promote best practices to enhance care quality and patient safety, such as creating a hospital safety culture (Guler, 2017; Santa et al., 2018), engaging physicians, and standardizing patient experience best practices (Guler, 2017). A culture based on safety and quality principles influences patient treatment outcomes through employee involvement, manager commitment, incentives, training, and communication (Santa et al., 2018). As a health care manager, I would accomplish this by hiring employees with teamwork- and service-oriented attitudes coupled with clinical competencies to build a culture of excellence in patient treatment outcomes and experiences (Guler, 2017).
