The capstone project topic can be a clinical practice problem, an organizational issue, a quality improvement suggestion, a leadership initiative, or an educational need appropriate to your area of interest as well as your practice immersion (practicum) setting. Write a 500-750 word description of your proposed capstone project topic. Make sure to include the following:

Don’t chose a huge problem that really you really cannot solve or has no solution to it. For example we can’t fix the nursing shortage in the U.S., with one paper. Make sense?

Introduction to the problem
For Sekse (2018), palliative care is the tactic applied to improving the lives of patients and their loved ones by solving their physical and psychological issues. For instance, the outbreak of the novel (new) coronavirus has led to increased mortality of patients due to the limited number of health practitioners leading to excessive fatigue (Bayham, 2020). External attractions and unsuitable working conditions affect how nurses perform (Mazidi, 2019). An increase in nurse turnover causes nurses' shortage in palliative care and, consequently, exhaustion to other nurses. This impacts negatively on the patients mostly those whose lives are on the line. Thus this paper points out nurses' turnover a serious challenge that influences the services of nurse's role in palliative care centers and possibly how to solve the problem.
Significance
Taylor (2019) suggests that high turnover will impact on the patients, the other healthcare staff, and the health facility at large. This might increase the mortality of the patients. Academically, this paper will fill the gap that researchers have left on the causes of nurse turnover and its implication to nursing in palliative care centers. To ensure that the higher costs that come with the nurse turn over like high mortality and diminished productivity are dealt with, necessary measures should be taken. Lessened health outcomes significantly affect the conditions of these patients who need maximum care.
Suggestion/Method
Exhaustion and turnover from nurses affect the way they attend to the patients. Cunningham (2019) suggests that first, have a strategic plan that will look into the employee's wellbeing. Secondly, Esfahani (2019) believes that the system should provide the nurses with motivation for carrying out their jobs despite the stress that comes with it. Another author adds that there should be clear communication between the employee and the employer on work expectations and performance to help reduce stress and ensures the wellness of the nurses (Wingler, 2019).
