This topic focuses on how the childhood obesity trends can be reversed because it is a condition that destroys the quality of life of the patient and harbors short- and long-term effects. The narrowing of the topic to the best interventions is to try to offer a solution to the audience to understand how the problem can be addressed. The causes are multifactorial, and interventions have to be structured to address the causes to prevent the condition before it adversely affects a child. The topic is narrowed to a limited geographical area. For each community, there are cultural and economic issues that affect the prevalence of lifestyle diseases in the United States. The limited scope is to ensure the intervention measures reflect societal factors that have led to the prevalence of the condition.
My primary audience
My primary audience is the general public in the US. This article is meant to help them understand that childhood obesity is a structural problem that can be prevented and reversed. The audience understands the gravity of childhood obesity and the many short- and long-term effects it has on the children, their families, and the community at large. This article is to equip the audience with data-driven interventions that could reverse the emerging trend of childhood obesity.
The general public also can greatly benefit these interventions discusses this article as they explicate their role in fighting the condition. The audience can also understand how they can implement measures at the family level which help fight the prevalence of childhood obesity. Such measures include strict adherence to healthy food menus as a family and discouraging sedentary lifestyle for kids by limiting their screen time and ensuring they have enough sleep and drink sufficient amounts of water.
The policymakers can also find the article informative and tailored to help them make proper intervention decisions that could reverse the trend in the country. If proper legislation is instituted, then most of the issues other than the genetic factor of childhood obesity can be addressed. i.e., fast food industries have continually opened in the US, and they have played a role in increasing childhood obesity. Other laws that can be instituted can be the promotion of sugary foods to children. The policymakers can also work with educators to frame new policies that encourage an active lifestyle in schools to aid children is to avoid a sedentary lifestyle and sensitize the public on the dangers of childhood obesity.
