Overall, I thought the meeting and the teamwork between members of the IEP team went well. They seemed to follow IDEA. The facilitator (principal) did an excellent job of being informed about the problem and planning and preparing for the meeting, in my opinion. Any meeting's facilitator, in my opinion, can establish the tone for how the meeting will go. It's critical to have a clear purpose and objective for this meeting, and the reason and goal were clearly stated, discussed, and shown for everybody to see and hear in this video. It is critical to mention such things for anybody to feel like progress is being made at a meeting.
The objective of the meeting was to talk about Amy's conduct and come up with methods to help her. "An effective start sets a pleasant and collaborative tone," according to the video. The principal looked to be well-prepared and confident in his abilities to guide the group toward its objective. Clear leadership will make team members, including parents, feel more at ease.
