Question Number 1: Discuss what is meant by “one size fits it all” at Adult speed?
In the book written by Celia Genishi and Anne Haas Dyson, they focused primarily on creating a curriculum in which breaks the old normal of every typical institution – which focuses only on teaching specific topics using fixed language and an assessment every after the lesson. This curriculum is what the authors brand as “one size fits it all”. It only prefers the standard that has been set to a particular class, and those students who are fond of diversity have not been considered. This “one size fits it all” is also relevant in adult speed which means that what is being imparted to the children will be carried through adulthood. In this situation, diversity has been roughly considered, and the knowledge and learning are being caged only in one size. The book talks about the speed at which the students can conquer the query of diversity; it breaks the stigma of typical learning set-up in institutions. In adult speed, fitting everything in one size must be observed most especially in child speed. Learning must be diverse to appreciate every culture that composed the world (Genishi & Dyson, 2015).

The sociocultural lens technically means that an individual is being observed or moulded by the influence of his or her surroundings like the environment, the family that used to be with the child during the early and present years, peers, school, and everything around.
