Spurring investment in a nation’s infrastructure is the most effective way and strategy of ensuring citizens have work during an economic recession. In particular, investment ensures that the citizens will have work for longer periods as opposed to during the economic recession. On another hand, investments have focused on physical infrastructure, which I feel is not proper in this digital world; hence, the need to invest in information technology infrastructure. Such will help in achieving greater positive impact on jobs, productivity and innovation. Investments in the IT infrastructure will help in the creation of direct jobs, indirect jobs and induced jobs.
The direct jobs include those created through new spending, for example, technicians hired to lay the broadband. Indirect jobs include those central to supply materials and induced jobs are those that focus on newly employed personnel. On another context, information technology powers intensive growth, in the view that, the discovery of innovative ways of workers and resources. Intensive growth allows progress in incomes, welfare and enables economic growth.
