According to Great Man Theory, some individuals are born with distinctive attributes that set them apart from other people. These attributes are accountable for their assuming position of authority and power. Such leaders can accomplish their goals against all odds for their subjects or followers. Some leaders are born with quality oratory skills to convince individuals to engage without questioning. Contrarily, there is no study insisting that has a leader has to be significant to lead. Robert Katz (1995) is one of the most incredible supporters of quality leadership, striving to develop that can work truly under the concept of leadership. He produced three skill approaches to define leadership. Robert Katz mentioned that is leadership goes beyond the notion that a leader is born with unique skills that can be nurtured to have a great leader for the leadership position (Katz, 1955). The paper presents a critical analysis of Robert Katz's three-skill approach and how the United States of America (USA) Army uses it to quality leadership with close relation to the above analysis. 
Three-Skill Approach
Conventionally, the Three-Skill approach emphasizes more on what individuals are capable of completing or accomplishing rather than on the qualities of an individual. On the other hand, successful management relies exclusively on three fundamental abilities known as conceptual, technical, and human skills. Katz (1995) defines a skill in the "three-skill approach as aptitude which can be nurtured and expressed in performance. These should not necessarily be innate and less significant to demonstrate in people. Katz insists that these skills (values) must be viable irrespective of the circumstances (Katz, 1955). It means that traits can be unviable in some situations. Furthermore, Katz refers to a leader as a manager in his theory under the guise that they are individuals capable of overseeing peoples' actions' and achieving specific goals. 
Technical Skill
Having great understanding and expertise in a given activity concerning methods, processes (procedure), and strategies explain technical skills. United States Army, especially in the leadership position of a Warrant Officer, teaches many technical skills to enable soldiers to succeed in their operations. Warrant officers are given an excellent work responsibility incorporating a specialty in their technical area, instructing recruits and existing soldiers, organizing and advising junior soldiers on missions. They also provide reports to their seniors in the army about the welfare of soldiers and the resources needed for their military mission to succeed. Warrant officers train soldiers to aim using their arms and defeat an enemy tactically without using components (Katz, 1955). They teach soldiers to be flexible on how they manage enemies and crises.
