Today’s world is known as the information age. We have access to tremendous amounts of data that we can turn into information. Nevertheless, with all these resources at our finger tips, students still do not properly cite sources. If you do not have an in-text citation and resource or you do not properly format the in-text citation and resource with your DQ responses, I will deduct a quarter point each from your final score.

The pros and cons of pessimistic concurrency in relation to optimistic concurrency
Transaction concurrency occurs through pessimistic concurrency and optimistic concurrency. A pessimistic concurrency involves locking that occurs throughout the transaction period (Elmasri, & Navathe, 2016; Graefe, 2019). For instance, a three-hour transaction beginning at 7 a.m. remains locked until it is finished at 10 a.m. Therefore, the transaction interphase remains inaccessible to other users. The limitation creates bottlenecks and slows down procedures in an institution. Moreover, it results in low consumer satisfaction since transactions are slow. Therefore, a pessimistic lock transaction locks the transaction until it is fully executed or rolled back. An optimistic concurrency does not lock resource access but allows other users to access the interface (Elmasri, & Navathe, 2016; Graefe, 2019).
