Brittany Maynard had terminal cancer and supported the right to end her own life when it seemed right to her and became one of the proponents for legalizing assisted death. Maynard supported changes to promote medical aid-in-dying legislation in California, which did not have laws promoting assisted suicide and the right to die with dignity.
