Cesare Beccarria`s On Crimes and Punishment is a critique on the forthcomings of making opinions based on other people`s examinations rather than self-examinations. n Crimes and Punishment",
Law, according to the author, should be established in a manner that it achieves fairness for most people. Law should protect the best interests of the majority rather than acting as a shield for few exploitative members of the society. Crime is regarded as a deviation from the legal and accepted ways of doing things. Law should be indiscriminately and should be used accordingly regardless on whom it is applied against.
